Primary Impact Goals
SDG 2: Zero Hunger
Goal 2: Zero Hunger: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.
We tackle food insecurity at its root: the soil. By restoring microbial diversity, we enable farmers to achieve higher yields and nutrient-dense crops without relying on expensive, degrading chemicals.
Our Contribution:
- BioSphere AgriTech Pro-B & Fruit/Nut Series: Increases nutrient uptake and yields for staple crops like maize, wheat, and cassava, as well as critical fruit and nut trees.
- BioSphere AgriTech Pro-B+: Specifically targets legume families (beans, soy, lentils) to maximize protein production and nitrogen fixation.
- AgriTech D Pasture: Optimizes forage quality for livestock, supporting dairy and meat production systems.
SDG 6: Clean Water
Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
Chemical runoff from farms destroys waterways. Our biologicals stay in the soil where they belong, and our water treatment solutions actively clean polluted environments.
Our Contribution:
- BioSphere AgriTech Aqua Pro: A targeted solution for controlling algae blooms and restoring water quality in streams, ponds, and reservoirs affected by agricultural runoff.
- Reduced Leaching: By improving nutrient cycling, our soil products prevent fertilizer runoff from entering groundwater systems.
SDG 13: Climate Action
Goal 13: Climate Action: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
Conventional agriculture is a major emitter of greenhouse gases. We provide the tools to transition to climate-smart practices. Our technology prevents field burning and sequesters carbon by rebuilding soil organic matter.
Our Contribution:
- BioSphere AgriTech Crop Residue Decomposer (CRD): Eliminates the need to burn sugarcane trash and stubble by accelerating natural decomposition. This drastically reduces carbon emissions and smoke pollution while returning carbon to the soil.
- Drought Resilience: Our Pro-B formulations improve soil structure and water retention, helping farmers adapt to changing climate patterns and erratic rainfall.
SDG 15: Life on Land
Goal 15: Life on Land: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems.
We are guardians of soil biodiversity. Our "diversity-first" approach restores the thousands of microbial strains necessary for a functioning ecosystem, reversing the damage caused by soil degradation and acidification.
Our Contribution:
- BioSphere AgriTech Super Concentrate: A specialized treatment for reclaiming contaminated and biologically depleted soils, turning dead dirt back into living soil.
- BioSphere AgriTech ABW & Nemo: Provides broad-spectrum plant health and root pest management through biological means, reducing the toxic load on the land.
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption
Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
We turn waste into wealth. Instead of discarding organic matter, our technology enables farmers to recycle nutrients efficiently.
Our Contribution:
- BioSphere AgriTech Boost: An organic waste accelerator that rapidly converts manure, food waste, and straw into high-value compost, closing the nutrient loop on the farm.

- SDG 1: No Poverty: By reducing input costs (chemicals/fertilizers) and increasing yields, we directly improve the profit margins of smallholder farmers.
- SDG 5: Gender Equality: Our focus on empowering women farmers with accessible technology and education ensures that female-headed households have the tools to thrive.
- SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals: We actively build consortiums with NGOs, governments, and research institutions to scale regenerative solutions across Africa and beyond.

Specific Objectives
SO1 – Climate-smart, regenerative production
Improve soil health and climate resilience for at least 200–300 smallholder farmers (≥60% women and youth) in Ghana in pilot districts, scaling to ~1,000 farmers over four years, with an average ~16% yield increase on treatment plots vs baseline farmer practice.
SO2 – BioSphere AgriTech MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprise)
Strengthen a core group of 15–20 Ghanaian MSMEs (agro-dealers, logistics and service providers) and 5–10 Kenyan MSMEs in a learning network to supply biological inputs, advisory and data services.
SO3 – Youth-led AgriTech services
Establish at least 80–100 youth and women micro-enterprises as field agents, soil-sampling teams and digital data stewards, linked to the MSME network.
SO4 – Policy and scaling pathway
Generate evidence and tools for integration into UNDP-supported climate and MSME programs, and for replication in Kenya and two additional African countries.
